Pull the condensate discharge line a few inches out of the ground by attaching a PVC pipe. Use duct tape to secure the line to the pipe. Use a metal C clamp to fasten the lower portion of the pipe to the chase.

8. Bend the refrigeration line down to the chase. Use the wrenches to remove the compression fittings on the copper refrigeration line.

9. Slide a brass nut to the new copper tubing. Then flare the end of the rubber tubing using a flaring tool.

10. Get the tubings to the flared end of the refrigeration line coming from the AC unit. Tighten the nut to attach the copper tubing to the refrigeration line. Do the same to the remaining refrigerant lines.

11. Get your outdoor condensing unit and position it adjacent to the chase.

12. Again, tighten the compression fighting on the refrigerant line using two wrenches. Then wrap pipe insulation on each line.

13. Run a nonmetallic cable on the condenser unit to the indoor air conditioning unit. Pass it through the hole on the wall.

14. Put the cover on the chase to hide and protect the cables and lines.

15. Make all the necessary electrical connections at the AC unit and condenser.

16. Do a pressure test using nitrogen (300 lbs per square inch).

17. Vacuum out the nitrogen. Open all the valves to release refrigerant into the system.
