- A large pot ( large enough to fit the pitcher in, we’ll use this as a double broiler)
- 3 half-pint canning jars
- ½ cup of coconut oil
- 1 lb pure filtered beeswax

- In the meantime, it’s time to prepare the wicks. Cut three or four pieces of wicks, each measuring 6 inches long.
- Remove the beeswax from heat once it’s melted. Then add in the coconut oil. Gently stir using the bamboo skewer until the two ingredients mix well.
- Pour a small amount of the wax mixture into the jar up to half an inch at the bottom.
- Return the pitcher to the stove to keep wax melted.
- It’s time to put the wick. Place the wick in the bottom center of the jar. Then push the skewer to the bottom of the jar and use it to hold the wick in place until the wax dries.
- Cool the wax until it’s solid enough to hold the wick. It would take between 5-10 minutes.
- Wrap the other end of the wick to the skewer. Then pour the remaining wax mixture into the jar. You should hold taut the skewer and wick at this point.
- Leave an inch of space on top.
- If the wick isn’t at the center, feel free to reposition it by dragging the skewer until it’s at the center.
